Associate Cost Management Specialist

About the role

Join AECOM as an Associate Cost Management professional to deliver cost planning, estimating, control and commercial support across large, complex infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to keep projects on budget and commercially sound.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end cost management and quantity surveying services from inception through design, procurement, construction and close‑out.
• Develop and maintain cost plans, budgets, estimates, cash‑flow forecasts and cost reports throughout project stages.
• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, schedules of quantities and pricing documentation.
• Lead or support preparation of tender documentation, pricing schedules and commercial bid packages.
• Monitor variations, provisional sums, contingencies and project allowances, and advise clients on commercial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; professional membership (RICS, CIOB, AIQS) preferred.
• 10‑12+ years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying or commercial management on large, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Experience with semiconductor, data centre, mission‑critical or advanced manufacturing facilities is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience using CostX, Primavera P6 and Power BI for estimating, scheduling and reporting.
