Associate Analyst, Accounting & Reporting

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking an Associate Analyst to join its Accounting & Reporting team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for executing core accounting activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX, and supporting statutory audits.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile balance‑sheet and bank accounts, and follow up on open items.
• Maintain accounting compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Execute intercompany transactions and perform cash application and netting for ICO customers and vendors.
• Post rule‑based journal entries accurately and review monthly GL analysis.
• Respond to audit queries and maintain SOX documentation.
• Collaborate with local and regional teams to resolve process issues.
• Support month‑end assessment cycles and transition from FI to PA modules.
• Review and update SOPs, and contribute to standardisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce, BMS, BAF, BIF or related field; postgraduate finance qualification preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and ERP systems.
• Experience with SAP is desired.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
