About the role

Chandigarh University is seeking dynamic Assistant and Associate Professors on a research track across Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Law, and Liberal Arts. The position is on‑site in Mohali and focuses on high‑impact scholarly work that advances the university’s research profile.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research leading to publications in Scopus‑indexed Q1/Q2 journals.
• Lead and mentor a research cluster, guiding peers and PhD scholars.
• Secure external research funding from national and international agencies.
• Drive patent filing, intellectual property development, and commercialization of research outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strategic academic and industry collaborations worldwide.
• Contribute to university ranking metrics (NIRF, QS, THE) through visible scholarly activity.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated record of high‑impact Scopus Q1/Q2 publications.
• Successful history of obtaining research grants.
• Strong citation metrics (H‑index, citation count) will be heavily weighted.
