Assistant/Associate Professor – Foundation Design

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant or Associate Professor to lead the Foundation Design program in fashion. The role combines academic leadership, curriculum development, and industry collaboration to nurture the next generation of creative thinkers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and develop curriculum for foundation design courses.
• Support the Associate Dean in team management and faculty development.
• Foster industry and institutional collaborations, and guide student participation in national and international competitions.
• Drive research and innovation, building a strong research culture within the department.
• Mentor students, support career readiness, placements, and academic auditing.
• Engage in marketing workshops and promote faculty involvement.

Required profile

• Strong industry and academic background in fashion design.
• Graduated before 2015 with at least 5 years of experience in the fashion and apparel industry.
• Education from reputed institutes such as NIFT, NID, London College of Fashion, Marangoni, NTU, Pearson, or equivalent.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
