Assistant/Associate Professor – Computer Science & Engineering

About the role

The Navodaya Institute of Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department. The role involves delivering high‑quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students and contributing to the department’s research and outreach activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students in core and emerging areas of CSE.
• Conduct theory classes, laboratory sessions, tutorials, and provide project guidance.
• Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, question papers, and evaluation reports.
• Guide students in internships, mini‑projects, major projects, and research activities.
• Participate in curriculum development, Outcome‑Based Education (OBE), NBA/NAAC accreditation, and academic administration.
• Carry out research, publish papers in reputed journals/conferences, and contribute to consultancy or funded projects.
• Organise and take part in FDPs, workshops, seminars, hackathons, conferences, and placement activities.
• Mentor students for academic performance, technical skill development, and career planning.
• Collaborate with industry and other institutions for internships, placements, MoUs, and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Assistant Professor: 0–5 years of teaching, research, or industry experience.
• Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of teaching, research, or industry experience with research publications and academic contributions.
• B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in a relevant specialization with First Class in either UG or PG.
• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is mandatory for Associate Professor and preferred for Assistant Professor.
• Qualifications must comply with AICTE norms for Engineering & Technology institutions.
