Assistant Vice President - Client Management Support

About the role

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join the Client Management Support team as an Assistant Vice President. You will work closely with the servicing team to manage the full lifecycle of bank mandates for corporate and institutional clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee bank mandate setup, amendments, renewals and removals, ensuring accurate documentation and authority validation.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance on mandates, signatory authorities and corporate resolutions.
• Draft, review and negotiate board resolutions, powers of attorney and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management, Legal, Compliance and Product teams to streamline mandate review and execution.
• Handle complex multi‑jurisdictional mandate scenarios, including trust structures and fiduciary arrangements.
• Ensure prompt resolution of mandate‑related queries and discrepancies.
• Drive process standardisation to improve customer experience and reduce turnaround times.
• Interpret and apply KYC, AML, sanctions, FATCA and CRS requirements.
• Support audit and regulatory examinations, providing required documentation.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal, operational, compliance and reputational risks.
• Develop internal controls, reporting capabilities and support risk assessments.

Required profile

• Significant experience in banking mandate management, legal documentation or compliance within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, signatory authority structures and multi‑jurisdictional legal frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
