Assistant Purchase Manager – Chemical Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Purchase Manager to lead procurement of chemical raw materials and packaging for a leading adhesives and chemicals manufacturer. The role involves managing the full sourcing cycle, ensuring quality, cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery to support production.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement of chemical raw materials and packaging.
• Identify, develop and negotiate with vendors on price, quality and delivery terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and guarantee material availability for production schedules.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Finance teams to align procurement activities.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, maintain documentation and evaluate supplier performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in chemicals, paints, adhesives, inks or related products.
• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Proven track record of vendor development and cost negotiation.
