About the role

IIT Indore, a rapidly growing Institute of National Importance, is inviting applications for Assistant Professor Grade I and Grade II positions across a wide range of emerging and traditional disciplines. The recruitment aims to strengthen teaching, research, and innovation capabilities in areas such as Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Astronomy, Sustainability, Biosciences, Biomedical Engineering, and the School of Innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the assigned discipline.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to publications, patents, and funded projects.
• Mentor graduate students and supervise theses.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committees.
• Contribute to outreach, industry liaison, and community engagement activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. with first‑class or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Strong academic record with evidence of research productivity.
• For Grade I: minimum three years of teaching, research, or industry experience post‑Ph.D.
• For Grade II: early‑stage researcher; contractual appointment.
• Interdisciplinary research interests are encouraged.
