Assistant Professor – Pharma Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry

About the role

The University seeks an Assistant Professor to teach Pharma Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role involves delivering curriculum‑aligned lectures, supervising laboratory sessions, and contributing to research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Pharma Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry as per the university curriculum.
• Develop innovative teaching methods and industry‑relevant case studies.
• Monitor student attendance, progress, and assessments; prepare grading reports.
• Stay updated with current scientific literature and incorporate new findings into teaching.
• Organise laboratory experiments, study materials, and internship opportunities.
• Guide students on career decisions and assist with recruitment processes.
• Conduct and publish research in the relevant field.
• Prepare and submit budget plans and handle administrative duties assigned by the Dean.
• Supervise ongoing laboratory sessions, internships, and research projects.
• Implement updated curriculum guidelines and maintain Moodle platforms.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in Pharma Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Strong academic record with publications in reputable journals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and research.
