The university seeks an Assistant Professor of International Relations to lead and develop its department. This senior academic position combines teaching, research, and international partnership development to enhance the institution's global profile.

Key responsibilities

• Define departmental vision, manage faculty performance, and oversee curriculum development for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Develop, negotiate, and maintain collaborations with foreign universities, research institutes, and international organisations.
• Align department goals with university-wide internationalisation strategies, monitor global higher‑education trends, and identify mobility schemes.
• Promote a strong research culture, secure external funding, and support faculty publishing and academic exchanges.
• Oversee inbound and outbound student and staff mobility programmes, coordinating with support units for smooth operations.
• Participate in university committees, manage departmental budgets, and engage in fundraising or grant acquisition for international projects.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in International Relations, Political Science, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in academic leadership, research excellence, and developing international partnerships.
• Strong networking and negotiation abilities with international stakeholders, including MoU negotiations.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages is highly valued.
