About the role

The Assistant Professor of Communication Skills will join Chandigarh University to teach, research, and provide academic leadership in the English discipline. The position focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction, conducting impactful research, mentoring students and faculty, and enhancing the university’s academic reputation.

Key responsibilities

Deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on professional communication, soft skills, and public speaking.
Develop innovative, industry‑relevant course materials, syllabi, and lab manuals.
Advise and mentor students on academic performance, career development, and soft‑skill enhancement.
Assess student work through assignments, presentations, and technical interviews.
Engage in scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and attend academic seminars.
Participate in institutional committees, accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA), and departmental meetings.

Required profile

Master’s degree minimum in English, Communication Studies, or a related discipline (Ph.D. preferred).
