Assistant Professor of Computer Science

About the role

The Assistant Professor of Computer Science will join CTPL’s EdTech campus in Jaipur to design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses that align with the company’s technology‑driven higher‑education vision. You will be responsible for creating engaging lecture and lab experiences, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update course syllabi, lecture notes, and laboratory exercises for core computer science subjects.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical lab sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
• Mentor and supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams and practical evaluations.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to integrate CTPL’s digital education solutions into the curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core computer science concepts and ability to teach both fundamental and advanced topics.
• Expertise in programming languages and software development practices suitable for classroom instruction.
• Knowledge of data science principles, tools and applications relevant to modern curricula.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, best practices and emerging trends.
• Experience in curriculum development, including syllabus design and assessment creation.
• Post‑graduate degree (M.Tech/MS/MSc) in Computer Science or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education with demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and digital teaching tools.
