Assistant Professor – Management (Research & Development)

About the role

Chandigarh University seeks an Assistant Professor in Management with a focus on Research & Development. The position is dedicated to strengthening the university's research ecosystem through high‑quality studies, project development, and collaborative initiatives, rather than regular classroom teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and publish high‑impact research in Management and interdisciplinary areas in indexed journals (Scopus, ABDC, Web of Science, etc.).
• Assist faculty in preparing manuscripts, identifying emerging research trends, and maintaining publication metrics.
• Develop and submit research proposals to funding bodies such as UGC, AICTE, DST, SERB, and international agencies.
• Support grant writing, budgeting, and project management, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations, innovation projects, and industry‑oriented research.
• Organise faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and research training sessions.
• Mentor faculty and research scholars on methodology, data analysis, and publishing processes.
• Establish partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and research organisations, including MoUs and joint publications.
• Prepare research performance reports, dashboards, and maintain databases of publications, funded projects, and patents.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong research record with publications in reputable indexed journals.
• Experience in writing research proposals and managing funded projects (preferred).
• Familiarity with UGC norms; NET qualification preferred where applicable.
