Assistant Professor for Finance

About the role

The Assistant Professor for Finance will join a higher‑education institution in Nagpur to teach undergraduate and postgraduate finance programmes. This full‑time, on‑site position involves delivering lectures, tutorials and seminars while keeping course content current and relevant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update and deliver finance and corporate finance courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Prepare assessments, grade assignments and evaluate student performance in line with institutional standards.
• Mentor students on academic projects, career pathways and provide academic counselling.
• Conduct research, publish findings and guide student research initiatives.
• Participate in academic committees, curriculum development and departmental projects.
• Stay abreast of developments in finance, accounting and related fields.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate degree such as an MBA in Finance, M.Com or PhD in Finance/Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of finance, corporate finance and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated research ability, including study design, data analysis and publication.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse learners.
• Experience with modern teaching methods, learning management systems and basic educational technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a department and contribute to institutional initiatives.
