Assistant Professor – English (Business Communication)

About the role

AIMS Institutes seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Professor to join the School of Business & Commerce. The role involves delivering English language, business communication, and soft‑skill courses to undergraduate and postgraduate management students, while supporting admissions outreach and institutional events.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English, Business Communication, and related soft‑skill subjects for BBA, MBA, and other business programs.
• Design and deliver engaging lectures using innovative pedagogical methods.
• Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assessments, and presentation decks.
• Mentor students on language proficiency, presentation skills, and professional communication.
• Conduct workshops on communication, personality development, and employability.
• Participate in research activities, conferences, and faculty development programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum design, NAAC/NBA accreditation documentation, and quality‑enhancement initiatives.
• Engage in departmental meetings, academic planning, and event organization.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English meeting UGC percentage norms.
• NET / SLET qualification (mandatory or preferred as per norms).
• Ph.D. completed or pursuing (preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in higher‑education institutions, especially NAAC‑accredited ones (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Student‑centric teaching approach with a focus on professional development.
