Assistant Professor & Course Coordinator – BCA/MCA

About the role

The School of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University seeks an Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator for its BCA and MCA programmes. The role combines high‑quality teaching, research, curriculum development, and industry liaison to prepare students for careers in IT and Computer Science.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate (BCA) and postgraduate (MCA) courses, including lectures, labs, tutorials and project supervision.
• Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, laboratory manuals and other learning resources.
• Assess student performance through exams, assignments, projects and continuous evaluation.
• Conduct research in areas such as AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing or Software Engineering and publish in indexed journals.
• Guide student research projects, dissertations and apply for research grants.
• Contribute to curriculum design, accreditation (NAAC, NBA) and industry‑oriented training modules.
• Establish industry collaborations, arrange internships, guest lectures, workshops and placement activities.
• Participate in departmental committees, admissions, examinations and quality‑assurance processes.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree (MCA/M.Tech./M.Sc. Computer Science or equivalent) with a consistently good academic record.
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching, research or relevant industry experience.
