Assistant Professor – Computer Science & Engineering

About the role

The Gulzar Group of Institutes (GGI) in Ludhiana is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community, delivering lectures and laboratory sessions to undergraduate students and contributing to the department’s research and innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured lectures and lab sessions for core CSE subjects.
• Prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and teaching materials aligned with outcome‑based education.
• Assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor and guide students on academic and career matters, including supervising final year projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic committees, accreditation processes, and departmental events.
• Support departmental research initiatives and contribute to scholarly publications.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core Computer Science & Engineering topics such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Databases.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to CSE (e.g., AI/ML, C/C++, Java, Python, web technologies).
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective lectures and labs.
• Experience in student assessment, mentoring, and project supervision.
• Research orientation with interest in publishing and presenting academic work.
• Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E) in Computer Science & Engineering or a closely related discipline; Ph.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with outcome‑based education, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements is preferred.
