Assistant Professor – Automobile Engineering

About the role

Kumaraguru College of Technology is seeking enthusiastic educators and researchers to join its Automobile Engineering department as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will inspire students, advance scholarly work, and contribute to the college’s growing academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in automobile engineering, using both traditional and online/hybrid formats.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in reputable journals, and secure research funding.
• Develop interdisciplinary projects that bridge engineering with emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with industry partners to integrate practical applications into the curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum design, and student mentorship.

Required profile

• Master’s (M.E. or M.Tech.) or Ph.D. in Automobile Engineering or a closely related field, preferably from a reputed institution such as IIT, NIT, or an overseas university.
• Minimum of three years of academic teaching experience with a record of excellence.
• Demonstrated research productivity and experience in interdisciplinary work.
• Experience with online and hybrid teaching methodologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
