Assistant Manager – Warehousing

About the role

Foxtale, a fast‑growing D2C skincare brand, is looking for an Assistant Manager – Warehousing to lead its Mumbai warehouse operations. The role focuses on ensuring efficient multi‑channel fulfillment, accurate inventory control and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage performance across warehouse areas, including people management, process improvements and operational metrics.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations for multi‑channel fulfillment, ensuring accurate inventory, efficient picking/packing and timely dispatch.
• Maintain peak efficiency by supervising, organizing and supporting warehouse teams to meet customer service standards.
• Implement, enforce and continuously improve SOPs, monitoring adherence to instructions and standardized workflows.
• Act as primary point of contact for the WMS, resolve system issues and collaborate on enhancements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, storage management, stock variance control, replenishment discipline and cycle counts.
• Develop and implement systems for product handling, storage planning, equipment utilization, gate processes and shipping compliance.
• Identify and resolve exceptions such as inventory mismatches, process deviations or damage cases.
• Mentor warehouse teams, coordinate with internal functions (logistics, customer service, planning, procurement, tech) and external partners (3PL, transporters).
• Track, analyse and report operational performance, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–4+ years of operations leadership experience in a fast‑paced, process‑driven warehousing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution, multi‑channel fulfillment, inventory management and order processing.
• Analytical ability to interpret operational data and drive decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
