Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Sensor Development

About the role

As an Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer in Sensor Development, you will lead the creation of new sensor products and support their transition to series production. You will work closely with internal development (IDN) and partner (IPN) teams to optimise product cost and ensure customer requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sensor and GLP development projects from concept to series support.
• Collaborate with IDN and IPN teams to align technical specifications and cost targets.
• Perform product cost optimisation and validation activities.
• Manage documentation, sample orders, and compliance with customer drawing requirements.
• Drive problem‑solving initiatives using tools such as 8D, DRBFM and FMEA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering (Master’s desirable).
• 1‑5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, material influence and reliability.
• Excellent communication and proactive networking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with development and quality tools: BES Q basics, ECR, RACE, Concessions, 8D, Focus matrix, DRBFM, FMEA, Requirements engineering, Procodex, TCD, BOM management.
• Advanced knowledge of IC engines and sensor technologies.
• Competence in tolerance calculations, Design of Experiments (DoE) and material expertise.
