Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager

About the role

The Front Line Manager will supervise shift operations for a value stream, leading shop‑floor associates to achieve safe, high‑quality production. This role ensures efficient value creation, continuous improvement, and seamless hand‑over between shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shift activities of the value stream/sub‑value streams, assigning tasks and following standard procedures, BPS and work instructions.
• Motivate and mentor shop‑floor associates, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and shop‑floor standards.
• Organise production set‑up according to the production schedule and meet SQCD targets.
• Conduct and document safety and quality checks, record shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, performance) and hand over to the next shift.
• Track production performance KPIs such as OEE, FPY, scrap, tool life, leveling and fulfillment.
• Identify deviations, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive corrective actions to restore target performance.
• Maintain IR and shop‑floor discipline, support deviation management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising shift operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage and motivate shop‑floor teams, mentor entry‑level associates and coach development.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and compliance with shop‑floor standards.
• Capability to organise production set‑up, assign tasks and adapt activities to meet SQCD targets.
• Experience in tracking and analysing production KPIs and implementing corrective actions.

Required skills
