Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Data Scientist

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer specialized in Data Science to drive predictive modelling and digital transformation initiatives at its Nashik plant. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn data into actionable insights that improve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Mine and analyse data from manufacturing databases to develop custom predictive models.
• Design and implement algorithms that support operational efficiency and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Communicate the benefits of digital solutions to senior management and plant staff, fostering a culture of innovation.
• Develop project plans, manage budgets, and track milestones to ensure timely delivery of digital projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to digital technology in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external partners, and vendors to deliver digital solutions.

Required profile

• Graduation in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Data Scientist Masters program or equivalent certification from a recognised university.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of GLM/Regression techniques.
• Experience with Random Forest, Boosting and Decision Tree algorithms.
• Proficiency in text mining and social network analysis.
• Hands‑on coding ability for data‑science workflows.
