Assistant Manager P&L

About the role

The Assistant Manager P&L will join the Strategic Monitoring & Reporting (SMR) Cost and Efficiency team within Finance Shared Services. The role supports global performance management for CIB ITO by delivering high‑quality management accounting and reporting across multiple business streams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management accounting and reporting services for ITO, Global Markets, Global Banking, and related functions.
• Supervise and control monthly and quarterly closing processes, collect data, and produce reports for function heads and COOs.
• Ensure data integrity and perform controls on inputs in SAP, Vinci, and other global systems.
• Gather, analyse, and produce expense files for monthly reporting and support ad‑hoc analysis requests.
• Follow‑up IT program costs, investments, and allocations, and reconcile central and local P&L figures.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations, aged accruals, and provision aging to ensure timely accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting within a large, multi‑national organization.
• Experience supervising month‑end and quarter‑end close activities.
• Ability to work with global teams, understand group management norms, and ensure consistency across regions.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and process improvement.
