Assistant Manager - Land Legal

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Land Legal to support our renewable energy projects by managing all legal aspects related to land acquisition, compliance and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on land parcels and prepare Title Search Reports.
• Verify title deeds, ownership documents and perform physical inspections of properties.
• Ensure legal compliance with statutory bodies for land transactions.
• Provide legal support for project finance, including security creation and registration of land to satisfy lender requirements.
• Calculate stamp duty, registration charges, NA charges and apply knowledge of circle rates.
• Handle documentation such as Sale Deeds, Agreements to Sale, Power of Attorney, Lease Deeds, MoUs, Term Sheets, SPA and other contracts.
• Manage litigation matters, prepare pleadings, written statements and affidavits, and liaise with courts up to the Supreme Court.
• Coordinate FIR lodging, police liaison and bail procedures when required.

Required profile

• LLB degree.
• 5‑8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector handling land‑related legal matters.
