Assistant Manager – Human Resources

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Human Resources will work closely with the HR and Admin teams to ensure smooth daily operations and support the company’s growth. This full‑time role involves managing HR processes, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and maintain employee records.
• Develop, update, and recommend HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee monthly peer reviews and annual performance appraisal cycles.
• Handle payroll, full‑and‑final settlements, statutory compliance, and employee benefits.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction, and talent retention activities.
• Ensure ISO compliance, support half‑yearly audits, and liaise with department heads.
• Organize office events, team‑building activities, festival planning, and HR branding initiatives.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and legal affairs in partnership with legal experts.

Required profile

• Graduate or Master’s in Commerce or MBA in HR.
• 8‑10 years of experience in HR executive or managerial roles.
• Strong communication skills in English and the local language.
• Proactive, people‑oriented, and results‑driven attitude.
• Residence in or around Panaji preferred.
