Assistant Manager - HR Programs

About the role

Porter is seeking an Assistant Manager for HR Programs to join its People & Culture function. This high‑ownership role will partner directly with the Director of People & Culture to drive organization‑wide initiatives such as pulse surveys, performance programs, engagement activities, and leadership reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end planning, tracking, and delivery of cross‑functional people programs including engagement, learning & development, HR business partnering, and internal communications.
• Build and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and governance frameworks; prepare MRM and MBR decks with data synthesis and leadership‑ready insights.
• Track and analyze people metrics (attrition, performance, engagement scores) on a regular cadence and translate raw data into actionable visualizations.
• Manage pulse survey execution from design to insight sharing, and develop dashboards that highlight program health and risks.
• Serve as the central coordination point across HRBPs, COEs, and business leaders, proactively flagging risks and driving alignment.
• Handle internal communications related to people programs, ensuring clear updates and rollout plans.
• Address ad‑hoc priorities quickly, building processes and templates where gaps exist.

Required profile

• MBA or PGDM (HR, Strategy, or General Management) from a Tier‑1 or Tier‑2 institute; engineering background plus MBA is welcomed.
• 2‑3 years of experience in consulting, HR, strategy, or program management.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
