Assistant Manager – Housekeeping

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping will lead daily housekeeping operations at a Marriott property in Udaipur. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures rooms, public areas and laundry services meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee room cleaning schedules, public‑area upkeep and linen‑laundry processes.
• Supervise, coach and schedule housekeeping team members, supporting hiring and onboarding.
• Coordinate with front‑office and maintenance teams to address guest requests and operational issues.
• Manage inventory, supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with brand standards and local health‑safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections, update housekeeping records and drive continuous improvement of service efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Hands‑on knowledge of laundry operations, linen management and equipment use.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities for guest interaction and internal coordination.
• Experience in hiring, interviewing and onboarding staff.
• Relevant housekeeping or hotel‑operations experience, preferably in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
• Understanding of cleanliness standards, safety protocols and quality assurance in hospitality.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent professional experience.
