Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Finance will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and performance management, with a strong emphasis on sales and business finance. Working closely with sales and cross‑functional teams, you will provide actionable financial insights to drive strategic and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse sales revenue, margins, profitability and performance against budgets and targets.
• Prepare and present periodic sales MIS, financial reports and management dashboards.
• Conduct revenue, margin and profitability analysis across products, customers, regions and channels.
• Track sales budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis and report findings.
• Review sales‑related expenses such as discounts, schemes, rebates and incentives.
• Analyse profitability by customer, product and channel.
• Monitor receivables, collections, outstanding balances and credit exposure.
• Coordinate collection follow‑ups with sales and business teams.
• Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and monthly business performance reviews.
• Identify financial risks, key variances and improvement opportunities for management.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in finance, business finance or sales finance.
• Exposure to sales finance, revenue analysis, profitability analysis, MIS, budgeting and receivables management.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or consumer products preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, variance analysis and business performance analysis.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of financial reporting tools.
