Assistant Manager – Engagement & Community

About the role

We are seeking a creative, execution‑focused Assistant Manager to lead our social media and community initiatives. Reporting to the Lead – Engagement & Community, you will drive engagement with a Gen Z audience (18‑25) across digital and offline channels.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow all social media channels, turning them into high‑engagement, conversation‑led ecosystems.
• Design and scale learner engagement throughout the lifecycle—from prospect to alumni—and manage owned communities on platforms such as WhatsApp, Discord, and cohort groups.
• Develop interactive, engagement‑first content and campaigns, including live sessions, AMAs, challenges and discussions.
• Identify and execute offline and hybrid initiatives such as events, meet‑ups and campus connects to strengthen learner relationships.
• Drive community‑led growth through ambassadors, user‑generated content and referrals, while tracking metrics like participation, retention and repeat engagement.
• Collaborate with design, content, brand teams and external creative agencies to ensure consistent messaging and timely execution.
• Monitor national and global competitors, contribute fresh ideas, and prepare performance summaries and insights.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in social media management or brand community building.
• Experience in EdTech, D2C or consumer internet brands is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Gen Z audiences and proven copywriting and creative abilities.
• MBA or a Master’s degree in communication/marketing.
