Assistant Manager - Ecommerce Commercial

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Ecommerce Commercial will support the growth and profitability of MFL Brands’ online channels. Reporting to senior management, the role focuses on revenue generation, working‑capital optimisation and rigorous financial control.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable revenue growth for MFL Brands across ecommerce platforms.
• Manage working capital by monitoring debtor days, following up collections and reducing overdue balances.
• Identify and implement profit‑improvement initiatives, addressing leakage in channel P&L.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, internal controls and general‑ledger (GL) scrutiny, including audit preparation.
• Perform customer reconciliations, balance confirmations and close provisions within defined timelines.
• Collaborate with branches and MDPs to collect overdue amounts and optimise discount budgets.
• Detect and rectify IT‑system gaps that affect financial reporting.
• Provide auditors with accurate provision data and respond to queries.
• Standardise agreements, drive process improvements and conduct critical GL analyses on discount and return provisions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to monitor and improve financial performance.
• Experience in managing working capital, collections and profit‑improvement projects.
• Familiarity with SOP compliance, internal controls and audit processes.
• Capability to coordinate with multiple business units and external auditors.
• Attention to detail in GL analysis, provision adequacy and reconciliation tasks.
