Assistant Manager – Chemical Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Chemical Warehouse Operations will lead day‑to‑day activities in a chemical storage facility, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient handling of hazardous materials while driving performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with UAE and international regulations for chemical storage, segregation, labeling and MSDS availability.
• Enforce strict Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) protocols, including hazardous material handling, spill prevention and emergency response readiness.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations, staff, and material handling equipment (MHE) fitness checks.
• Track, receive, store and deliver goods accurately, verifying orders, bills and inventory.
• Maintain records, prepare reports and documentation for customers and internal teams.
• Manage manpower resources, plan staffing levels and adjust schedules to meet operational demands.
• Monitor and improve warehouse productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers, logistics stakeholders and DP World departments to ensure seamless service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably handling chemicals or hazardous materials.
• Strong knowledge of UAE chemical storage regulations and international standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a warehouse team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.

Required skills

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of chemical storage regulations and segregation requirements.
• MSDS management and documentation.
• Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) compliance.
