Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front‑office operations at a hotel in Mumbai. This role ensures smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, supervises staff across Bell/Door, Switchboard, and Guest Services, and drives guest and employee satisfaction while contributing to the department’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Front Desk team, providing guidance, coaching, and recognition.
• Supervise day‑to‑day front‑office activities, ensuring standards of service and operational efficiency.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions based on feedback.
• Monitor progress toward guest‑service goals and collaborate with the Front Office Manager on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensure coverage during absences.
• Participate in developing and executing departmental service plans and guest‑satisfaction strategies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related area, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and influence a team.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet daily operational targets.
