About the role
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing all housekeeping operations at Hyatt Regency Chennai. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet Hyatt’s brand standards while delivering a high‑quality experience for guests, owners and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily cleaning activities for guest rooms, corridors, lobby, and other public areas.
- Supervise laundry and dry‑cleaning services, including hotel linen, uniforms and guest laundry.
- Coordinate with other departments to maintain seamless operations and address guest requests.
- Monitor inventory of housekeeping supplies and ensure proper stock levels.
- Train, schedule and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain performance standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards.
Required profile
- University degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory housekeeping role within a large hotel operation.
- Strong problem‑solving, administrative and interpersonal abilities.
