Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance will support the finance leadership of The St. Regis Goa Resort by overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This full‑time position is based on‑site and offers the opportunity to develop a career in hospitality finance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the accounting team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements, P&L reports, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and working‑capital analysis to support business decisions.
• Maintain accurate tax calculations, ensure proper collection and accrual of sales/use tax.
• Generate analytical reports and presentations for senior management.
• Ensure all asset and liability accounts are reconciled and documented.
• Coordinate property permits, licenses and vendor contracts to remain current.

Required profile

• Four‑year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• No prior work experience required; strong willingness to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity and a collaborative leadership style.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and support peer‑review processes.
