Assistant Civil Engineer – Railway Maintenance

About the role

The Assistant Officer – Civil (Colony) will oversee railway track maintenance and related civil activities at Rawan Cement Works. The role ensures uninterrupted clinker and cement dispatch via rail, while maintaining compliance with government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain railway tracks from the plant to ASM4 and supervise maintenance crews.
• Ensure 100% availability of rail rakes for clinker/cement dispatch.
• Manage inventory for railway track maintenance materials.
• Supervise plant road housekeeping, including sweeping machines and tractors.
• Oversee hiring and operation of equipment such as cherry pickers, JCBs, water tankers, and tractors.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑clinkerisation drainage cleaning, especially during monsoon.
• Maintain rolling shutters across plant, colony, and mine areas.
• Coordinate with other departments during shutdowns and perform miscellaneous civil tasks.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in railway track maintenance.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with railway focus.
• Proven ability to manage teams and ensure government compliance.
