Assistant Business Manager – Indore

About the role

The Assistant Business Manager will support the branch’s growth by overseeing Field Sales Leaders (FLS), driving recruitment, and ensuring achievement of business targets. This onsite role in Indore focuses on sales productivity, compliance, and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure budgeted capacity of FLS and achieve assigned business targets through recruitment and performance management.
• Recruit quality advisors and maintain performance standards for recruitment, activation, policies, and premium collection.
• Maintain branch profitability, monitor advisor contests, clubs, and training needs.
• Mentor, coach, and hand‑hold FLS through sales and recruitment calls, and maintain sales reports.
• Create engagement interventions, conduct periodic reviews, and set goals to boost productivity.
• Drive agency initiatives, ensure daily adherence to sales processes, and motivate the team for higher performance.
• Manage renewal targets, attrition, and quality of business for sustainable growth.
• Maintain internal and external relationships, communicate product updates, and visit top advisors regularly.
• Lead local sales promotion activities, anticipate opportunities, and run contests.
• Ensure risk management, compliance with regulatory norms, and conduct basic screening of applications.

• Proven ability to recruit and develop quality sales resources.
• Experience managing sales targets and branch profitability.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills for Field Sales Leaders.
• Capability to monitor compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal teams and external advisors.
