Assembler

About the role

We are looking for an Assembler to join our production team at Rockwell Automation in Kancheepuram, India. The role involves performing assembly operations efficiently and accurately while following standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality and safety, and meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day machine shop operations.
• Operate and support conventional machines such as punching, powder coating, drilling and tapping equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Support production activities to achieve quality and productivity goals.
• Perform basic machine setup, measurement, and inspection tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.
• Work under supervision while continuously improving technical skills.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any degree with willingness to work in a machine shop.
• At least 1 year of experience in a shop‑floor or production environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to processes, and work in shifts if required.
• Good attitude, discipline, and teamwork skills.
