About the role

The Area Manager will be responsible for generating insurance business across an assigned zone by partnering with relationship and channel partners. The role focuses on convincing partners to promote Birla Sunlife Insurance products to their customers, while providing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑sales support.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop business opportunities with assigned relationship/channel partners.
  • Educate and persuade partners to sell Birla Sunlife Insurance solutions to end‑customers.
  • Provide ongoing pre‑sales and post‑sales assistance to both partners and their clients.
  • Lead a dedicated team to support partner activities and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and drive consistent growth month over month.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maximize revenue.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in insurance sales or related financial services.
  • Strong relationship‑building and channel management capabilities.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
