Area Credit Manager – Vijayawada

About the role

The Area Credit Manager will lead credit operations across the Vijayawada region, ensuring robust credit assessment, risk mitigation, and timely collections to support business growth and maintain a healthy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and evaluate the local credit team.
• Develop and enforce credit policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive credit appraisals and risk assessments for new and existing customers.
• Approve or recommend credit limits, terms, and conditions based on risk appetite.
• Monitor portfolio quality, identify emerging risks, and implement proactive loss‑mitigation measures.
• Oversee collection activities, coordinating with sales and recovery teams to secure timely repayments.
• Liaise with legal and recovery agencies to manage delinquent accounts.
• Prepare and present credit performance reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional certification (CA, CFA) preferred.
• 7‑10 years of progressive credit management experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing credit portfolios and meeting collection targets.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluency in English and Telugu.
