Architect – Cinema & Entertainment Projects

About the role

Miraj Entertainment Ltd. is seeking an Architect to design and develop cinema properties and related entertainment infrastructure. The role is full‑time, on‑site in Mumbai and involves taking projects from concept through to completion while ensuring brand consistency, safety compliance and an excellent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural concepts, layouts and detailed drawings for new cinema projects, renovations and refurbishments.
• Develop space‑planning solutions based on operational requirements and customer experience goals.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, HVAC, interior design, acoustic and fire‑&‑safety consultants.
• Review architectural drawings, BOQs and technical specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to local building by‑laws, fire safety norms, accessibility standards and other statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality standards and conformity with approved drawings.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors and project‑management teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Resolve design issues on‑site and provide technical guidance during construction.
• Review material specifications and recommend cost‑effective, durable and aesthetically suitable alternatives.
• Support budgeting, cost estimation and value‑engineering initiatives, ensuring projects stay within approved timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Experience preparing architectural concepts, layouts and detailed drawings for cinema or similar entertainment projects.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with structural, MEP, HVAC, interior design, acoustic and fire‑&‑safety consultants.
• Knowledge of local building by‑laws, fire safety norms, accessibility standards and other statutory regulations.
