Applied AI Engineer – Member Technical Staff (US Timing)

About the role

Composio is looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join the Member Technical Staff. You will work directly with customers to automate support functions using AI agents, building production‑grade workflows that operate on US business hours from Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic workflows that handle intake, classification, diagnosis, remediation and verification for customer support.
• Develop tool‑using agents that safely inspect logs, auth state and configuration, and execute bounded recovery actions.
• Create evaluation suites, observability, memory and feedback loops to improve agents from real support cases.
• Own end‑to‑end issue resolution: reproduce, isolate, ship fixes and verify outcomes with customers.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on applied AI.
• Proven experience building production systems that incorporate language models, tool calling, retrieval and multi‑step workflows.
• Strong backend or platform engineering background, comfortable debugging SDKs, HTTP, OAuth, webhooks, queues and third‑party APIs.
• Enjoys close interaction with technical customers and can translate vague problems into reliable automated solutions.
