Android Developer

About the role

Citi is seeking an intermediate‑level Android Developer to join its Applications Development team. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high‑performance, secure Android mobile applications that support the bank’s digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVI).
• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs and backend micro‑services.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to turn wireframes into responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Write clean, testable code following Citi coding standards and secure coding guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Publish and manage applications on Google Play Store.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for automated builds and deployments.
• Stay current with Android releases, mobile technologies, and industry trends.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience developing Android applications.
• Proven ability to build reusable, efficient components and services.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with backend developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
• Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and ethical standards in a financial services environment.
