Analyst: Controlling Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Engineering Controller Analyst partners with engineering leadership to provide full cost transparency, robust financial governance, and proactive steering of cost performance within the Business Unit. This role combines deep financial analysis with strategic influence to drive cost efficiency and support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Enable cost transparency across internal resources, external partners, and project spend.
• Perform deep‑dive variance analyses (actual vs. plan/forecast) and present findings to senior management, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Proactively suggest and support cost‑improvement initiatives, challenge engineering teams on cost drivers, and track the effectiveness of savings measures.
• Act as a credible finance business partner to managers, project leads, and leadership, influencing decisions with financial rigor.
• Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and outlook updates; review and challenge cost structures and assumptions.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities early, ensuring proper escalation.
• Prepare monthly controlling reports with clear narratives and continuously improve finance processes, tools, and automation.
