Airport Systems Specialist (PBB, GPU, PCA, VDGS)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Airport Systems Specialist to lead the planning, design and implementation of passenger boarding bridges, ground power units, pre‑conditioned air and visual docking guidance systems for aircraft stands. The role is based in Gurugram and will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration with terminal and apron operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical specification of PBB, GPU, PCA and VDGS equipment, including layout, utility requirements and capacity planning.
• Develop equipment integration plans that align with terminal architecture, airside civil/structural design and apron operations.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA and local airport authority standards for safety, clearance and aircraft compatibility.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submittals and performance data, providing input for procurement and equipment selection.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning phases, resolve site issues and guarantee reliable operation at handover.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, electrical and maintenance teams to maintain system connectivity and lifecycle performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• 14–16 years of professional experience in the aviation sector with proven expertise in airport systems.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (ICAO, IATA) and airport authority requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software and system design tools.
• Experience using simulation tools for airport equipment.
• Technical understanding of PBB, GPU, PCA and VDGS hardware.
• Ability to produce detailed technical specifications and interface drawings.
