Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert – Airside

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert to lead design, optimization and delivery of runway, taxiway and apron lighting systems for airside operations across India. The role combines technical expertise, project management and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, efficient airport lighting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of AGL systems, including runway, taxiway and apron lighting.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, FAA and EASA standards and prepare documentation for audits.
• Conduct load calculations, simulations and energy‑efficiency analyses.
• Plan, execute and deliver AGL projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage procurement and oversee installation, testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement innovative technologies such as LED and smart control systems.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead technical workshops and act as liaison with regulatory authorities and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in AGL system design, installation and maintenance for airside infrastructure.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as ICAO AGL Certification or Professional Engineer are highly desirable.
