Airbag Software Architect

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, a subsidiary of Bosch Group, is looking for an experienced Airbag Software Architect to lead the design and development of safety‑critical software for airbag systems in Bengaluru, India. The role focuses on model‑based development, embedded C/C++ coding, and ensuring compliance with automotive dependability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain model‑based software for airbag systems.
• Write high‑quality C/C++ code for embedded automotive platforms.
• Perform requirement engineering, high‑level and low‑level design, and design reviews.
• Define, implement, and verify dependability requirements.
• Review and validate system and software test specifications.
• Communicate architecture decisions and updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in CCR and resource estimation with the project manager.
• Mentor software leads, engineers, and test teams; manage problem and change requests.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive systems.
• Hands‑on expertise with Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and large‑scale projects.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience in requirement engineering and design documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
