AI Product Owner

About the role

The AI Product Owner will lead the product vision and roadmap for AI use cases within the MR Service Innovation team, ensuring alignment with programme strategy and measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Discover, frame and validate AI opportunities by analysing service, contract and case‑level data.
• Build and maintain business cases, quantifying impact, cost, ROI and risk for each initiative.
• Elicit, document and prioritise requirements; write clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for data science and engineering teams.
• Own and continuously refine the product backlog, balancing business value, delivery complexity, data readiness and regulatory considerations.
• Define success metrics and KPIs, track value realisation and adoption post‑deployment, and feed learnings back into the roadmap.
• Partner with data scientists, ML engineers and external delivery partners to ensure feasible, well‑scoped solutions.
• Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams, managing expectations and sequencing decisions.
• Ensure AI products meet trustworthiness and regulatory requirements for healthcare, addressing explainability, human oversight and data integrity.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or business analysis for data, analytics or AI/ML products.
• Proven experience working in agile delivery teams and translating business problems into technical requirements.
• Background in a regulated industry such as healthcare, medical devices or automotive, with exposure to AI/ML product delivery.
• Research mindset demonstrated through publications, workflow improvements or new modelling techniques.
