AI-Enabled Cloud Services Developer

About the role

Join SAP’s AI and cloud team to design and operate production‑grade, AI‑enabled microservices. You will work on scalable, reliable features that integrate large language models and support the next generation of intelligent applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑based microservices using Go, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Integrate LLMs and basic Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows, including prompt management and response validation.
• Build and improve evaluation and benchmarking pipelines to measure AI output quality and system performance.
• Monitor application health, latency, throughput and efficiency, and implement performance‑tuning improvements.
• Debug and resolve production incidents, contribute to post‑mortem analysis and stability fixes.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with product, data, platform and AI teams to refine requirements and improve system design.

Required profile

• Strong coding and debugging skills with hands‑on experience building cloud‑native microservices.
• Solid understanding of APIs, distributed systems fundamentals and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AI/LLM workflows, prompt design and basic RAG patterns.
• Familiarity with observability (logging, metrics, tracing), performance tuning and system monitoring.
• Ownership mindset, with experience in testing, validation and production troubleshooting.
