Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Technician to support a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves ensuring that all ground support equipment is inspected, maintained, and repaired to meet operational readiness and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of AGE as defined by contract requirements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical subsystems.
• Repair, overhaul, and upgrade equipment to maintain full operational capability.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to guide maintenance actions.
• Document all work, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and repair logs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts.
• Adhere to strict safety practices and environmental regulations.
• Communicate equipment status and repair timelines to supervisors and team leads.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing AGE or similar equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity at hire.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote deployment.
• Must meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of the assignment.
