Adhoc Faculty Positions – Computer Science & Engineering

About the role

The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela invites Indian nationals to join its Department of Computer Science and Engineering as adhoc faculty for the Spring 2026 semester. Selected candidates will contribute to high‑quality teaching and research in a range of emerging computing disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, labs, and tutorials.
• Design and update course curricula in line with current industry trends.
• Guide student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, and academic events.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish findings.

Required profile

• Indian nationality.
• Ph.D. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) from an Indian university or equivalent foreign qualification.
• Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
• Strong commitment to quality teaching, research, and institutional development.

• Monthly remuneration of Rs. 70,900 for Ph.D. holders and Rs. 57,700 for non‑Ph.D. candidates.
